Making Whipped Soap

Today I tried making whipped soap for the first time. I had some set backs because I did not have enough of the hard oils that is required, so I had add more of the coconut oil... The scent from Natural Garden I am starting not to be happy with... they do have some good scent but some when adding to the soap just don't come out right, and they end up smelling the same.. I did not do 2 or more colors I keep it natural just to try out and to see what is needed in the process...

My hubby has me about 60 orders of my whipped body butter, and I sold 12 bars to the local corner store.. so my husband stopped in today to pick up a few items and they loved the Green Tea Cake Soap... now they want more to sell I am not sure how many they want but we will see... My husband was tell me that they only want to pay half up front then the second half later... I'm not sure if I will be cool with that being I am a small person making soap by hand...

If you are a Handmade Artist

I have found several sites that you can sell your handmade item so check them out...

ArtFire - Buy Handmade - Sell Handmade Visit Silkfair Today 1000 Markets

Silkfair seem to be cool they will be offering a custom built site for around $10 per month.. it will pull your store from silkfair and set up a custom store with the shopping cart.. also unlike etsy and artfair you can post 2 video per item, the cost is free currently.. I have found other site to sell handmade items, but these 3 is enough plus my personal website, the blog and twitter and will not have time to make soap and my to die for whipped body butter!!!

Why I Started Making Soap

I know many of you may ask “why should I buy a handmade soap product”….. Well many of the commercial brand soaps are made with hard man made chemicals. This chemical over time can damage the skin or can cause or lead to unknown health problems. We all should know that our skin is a tissue and absorb what we put on the skin tissue that goes into the body bloodstream.
Even though many products chemicals may or may not has caused any problems we just don’t know!! With the growing problems of our goods being shipped in from China I don’t want to take that risk for my health or my family health. If you don’t know about GMO Foods or these chemicals that are being used in our product that the FDA & USDA has allows into the store please, please please… research!!! There are great film you can watch for free on this subject at Google Video.. The one I would lead you to is “Future Food” and a website call the “Seed of Deception”
This is one of many reasons I have taken up soap making…. and this is why we should used organic products and it support small business owners.
